Hi Helen, We'd love to see more of your pretty cards in the challenges at Scrapbook Boutique. Thanks for playing along with us this month.

Super sweet design! She is just sooo cute, especially with the added glitter, it's such a FUN idea!

Thank you all so much for your kind words. I was really concerned that my card idea might not be exactly to anyone else's taste so I was a little bit hesitant to put it in the challenge to start with. It's lovely of you all to say such kind things to a real "Newbie" at card making. It makes me feel that maybe my efforts are worthwhile and I guess that if you don't give it a go, you'll never know...will you? I will keep trying and hopefully I will get better in time. Thank you all again...sorry I haven't replied personally to each comment but I'm still trying to figure out how to do things with this new blog of mine. While I have your attention though, I would like to show you all a youtube video that I'm intending to try as a background for a new card I have in mind. It's absolutely amazing and I thought you might like to see. I hope you like it... xx Helen

Totally cute. That glitter is beautiful. The colour shades are perfect. You did such a great job!!!

Your colours fit the challenge perfectly. The skirt looks like an upside down cup cake - love the big eyes. Thanks for visiting me recently and leaving such a nice comment. Good luck with the challenge. Have fun crafting and blogging.

Hi Helen, firstly your card is adorable and I love the glitter outline is is such a lovely touch that makes the card really pop! you have done an awesome job if this is your first card!! I cringe when I look at mine!! Everyone has their own 'style' and my advice is to keep joining in challenges and blog surfing, you will soon have your favourites and use these cards or techniques for your inspiration. Another good way is to combine a few challenges, like a sketch, colour and theme challenge.
I couldn't get on the YouTube on my iPad today but it sounds interesting, ill have a look on my PC.
Anyway thanks for joining in and sharing your card at Scrapbook Boutique this month.

Thank you Angela for your kind words. I suppose I look at things in the way that everyone else has more experience than I have so I tend to think that their work is obviously much better than mine. I think I have a way to go yet in keeping up my confidence but I just wanted to say that your words have actually given me hope. It's very true that everyone has their own "style" but it's getting that point through my head that is the problem I think. When I began with this card, I tried to picture in my mind the styles of store bought cards and the one thing that always grabbed attention (for me anyway)... The Glitter... not lots, just enough to say "Hey..take a look at me"... So I guess that's how I looked at things. I'm attempting to do some embossing backgrounds at the moment but I still have this urge to add glitter again...hehe...Must ..stop..glitter..!! aarrghh...Oh well, I'm trying :o) Have a great week everyone and remember there's only a few days left of the challenge. It's exciting isn't it?

Hi Helen, I love embossing! Couldn't live without my cuttlebug lol! Your colours look perfect for this month's challenge :)
